|Rev. Tom Grevlos
Pastor Tom was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. He graduated from Augustana College in 1979 with a B.A. in History. Following college, he coached the Augie Tennis Team and worked as a Youth Director in California before going to Seminary at Luther in St. Paul, MN. Godâ€™s ministry journey for Pastor Tom has taken him to Missouri City, TX. (New Hope), Addison, IL. (Prince of Peace), The Woodlands, TX. (Spirit of Joy!...a church plant), Naperville, IL. (Our Saviourâ€™s), and to Shepherd of the Hills. His hobbies include tennis, golf, music, reading, and travel. His family is wife, Jeanne and son, Tommy (25 years old and living in Chicago).
| Leah Jarvis
Leah Jarvis is the Event Director at Shepherd of the Hills. She grew up in Colorado at RTLC before attending college at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she got her degree in Hospitality and Event Management. She worked for Universal Orlando for three years before moving to Texas, where she had a brief career as a Zip Line Tour Guide before starting at ShepHills. Leah is passionate about supporting and creating engaging and exciting events for communities and is thrilled to be a part of ShepHills as the Event Director. In her spare time, Leah likes to read, travel, listen to music, watch movies, and be outside with her dog, Pawnee. She is also a big fan of coffee and all things pop culture. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 2:14-15.

Pastor of Family Ministry
Pastor Candice has lived in Austin since 1999. She comes to family ministry after first seeing the world as a scientist and computer engineer. It gave her a healthy appreciation for the balance between the logical and the mysterious in God's creation. Candice has been married for over 20 years, and has three children and 2 chocolate labs. She loves running at Town Lake and catching the latest sci-fi movie.
| Rebecca Guengerich
Director of Spirituality and Wellness
Rebecca Guengerich, Director of Spirituality and Wellness, listens through Spiritual Direction and Stephenâ€™s Ministry, for places where God breaks through our disorder to bring healing. Born in North Dakota, Rebeccaâ€™s family moved within a year to Texas where her father pastored churches at Gruver and Yorktown. She returned north to Concordia College, Minnesota to earn a degree in Home Economics, only to be lured back to warmth to teach high school and work at the March of Dimes in Houston. Rebecca married Steve and raised 3 children. In 2008, she earned a Masters degree from the Austin Episcopal Seminary. Steveâ€™s Job took her to China for a year. Back in the United States, she began work at LuMin U.T. Austin and National LuMin to coordinate the annual conference, where she still works in addition to Shephills.
| Amanda Forsberg
Amanda Forsberg is the Admin Ministry Coordinator in the Church office, beginning August 1st,2017. Amanda's primary responsibilities will be to help with office administrative tasks and coordinate various ShepHills activities. Amanda was born and raised in Montana. In 2013, she moved to Austin. Shortly after, she met her husband, Peter Forsberg, and in September 2016, Amanda and Peter joined Shepherd of the Hills. Amanda has been volunteering in the office since February. In their free time, Amanda and Peter enjoy being outdoors, traveling and cheering on the Texas Longhorns! One of her favorite Bible verses is 2 Corinthians 5:7
| Maria Lyapkova
Dr. Maria Lyapkova is our pianist at Shepherd of the Hills. She accompanies the senior choir, collaborates with soloists and small ensembles, and offers piano lessons. Maria moved to the United States from Moscow, Russia in 2010. She came to Austin in 2015 and completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Maria performs as a solo and chamber musician and gives lecture-recitals at music schools, colleges, and universities. She is excited to share her significant experience and passion for music with the community and provide a comprehensive musical education to her students. | Joel Timmons
Joel is the new Youth Director here at Shepherd of the Hills as well a seminary student at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary where he is working towards his MA in Youth Ministry. Joel is from Portland, OR and his hobbies include spending time at the lake, exercising, and getting coffee with friends.
| Kevin McClure
Director of Worship & Arts
Kevin McClure is Director of Worship and Arts. If you have an interest in the music program or the arts at Shepherd of the Hills, come and see him! Kevin leads the choirs, works with soloists and small ensembles, and assists in designing the worship services. He is married to Sara Burdenâ€McClure, Founder and Director of the Austin Girlsâ€™ Choir, and father of Ian. When not at church or at the baseball field with Ian, he can often be found at the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest, where he is Director of Music and Lecturer. His High Holy Days now include the U.S. Grand Prix, held in Austin in November.
| Trixi Spinelli
Trixi, has been our Church Financial Officer for the past 13 years. She enjoys the many challenges as an Accountant and different areas of Advisory roles on the Outreach Team, Endowment and Finance Team. In her free time she loves to hang out with her 2 sons trying new adventures or just watching movies together. Some of her hobbies are walking town lake, being outdoors on horseback and dancing. One of Trixiâ€™s favorite bible verses is Corinthians 13:4 â€œLove suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed upâ€

Creative Media Designer/Admin Assistant
Dabney is our Administrative Assistant at Shepherd of the Hills. She relocated to Austin from Raleigh, NC in 2008 with her husband Cisco, and sons Walt, 11, and Ansel, 9. From her previous life as an architect she brings a broad knowledge of computer programs and an ability to wear whatever hat is needed to get the job done. In her spare time Dabney enjoys DIY projects around the house, kayaking, and raising her boys. Her favorite bible passage is Psalm 25 â€œIn you, Lord my God, I put my trustâ€¦â€
| Fred Schleede
Fred is responsible for the maintenance and supervision of the buildings and grounds. Fred is passionate about making the best use of our investment in facilities to continue our vision of serving the Lord and our community. He has been married to Lil for 50 years and they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Fredâ€™s favorite Bible verse is Romans 8: 28 â€œ We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.â€ His favorite movie is Boyhood. Fred enjoys reading mystery novels and his favorite authors are Chris Bohjalian and Father Andrew Greeley. Fred once lived in a stone store built in 1824.
| Jeanne Grevlos
Jeanne Grevlos is our Butterfly Christian Preschool Director. She has been involved in the lives of children and families through directing preschools, teaching in public school, and mentoring both young moms and families through different ministry opportunities for over 30 years. In 2011, she completed a two year study program of Spiritual Direction, which offered great insight into the stages of faith development for both children and adults, a deep sense of prayer experience, and fresh ways to internalize scripture. She hopes to companion with others as we live our way into life as it unfolds. Jeanne is married to Pastor Tom, and they have a 25 year old son named Tommy.
| Bill Dawson
Director of Operations
Bill Dawson is Director of Operations and manages the "business" items of Shepherd of the Hills with a focus on expanding church communications and improving ministry effectiveness with vision & strategic planning. Bill's background is with operating small businesses and providing consulting services. Bill's past also includes church council president and membership on other nonprofit boards. Bill's married to Sara (33 years) and they they have two sons, Brian living in San Francisco with his wife, Jessica and Doug, who recently moved back to Austin. Bill's outside interests include golf, amateur radio, running and foreign policy issues.
