CAN I GET AN AMEN?
Music and worship arts at Shepherd of the Hills are filled with great variety and meaning. We love robust organ hymnody as well as guitars and drums! You’ll often hear both in worship, as we lift up multiple styles of music and liturgy to worship God each week.
WHY DO WE WORSHIP?
We worship to remember who and Whose we are! In our frantic world and busy lives, we need worship to remind us of our purpose and our center. We worship a God who is bigger and more grace-filled than we could ever imagine!
Adhering to the local safety guidelines, we gather in the Courtyard and in the Sanctuary for simple yet intimate services filled with music that are both upbeat and reflective, a message that's relevant to our time, and prayers that lift up the needs of our community and our world. We celebrate Communion together using individually packaged wafers and cups. How do people describe our in-person services? "A truly meditative time away from the rush of the world." "A beautiful service filled with God's hope and promises."
10:45 ONLINE WORSHIP
Worshiping online may feel strange at first, because we were created to be in community. But we think you'll find our online worship to feel very communal and connective! With engaging video presentations and special musicians, we can sing our praise from wherever we are located! How do people describe the 10:45 service? "Even though I'm watching on my computer, I still feel like I'm with my church family." "The messages are hopeful and help me get through each week."
A midweek opportunity to pause and pay attention to the Holy Spirit among us. Sometimes this is a worship service, sometimes it's a conversation about faith around a particular theme, sometimes it's a prayer vigil when we need to drop everything and pray. Whatever the topic, this is a dynamic offering on Wednesday evenings that keeps us going between Sundays.
