Christmas Eve Services
Times and Descriptions
Celebrate the birth of Jesus at 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, or 10:00pm!
Whether you’re looking for a traditional Lutheran liturgy, a family-centered gathering, or a quiet outdoor celebration, there’s a place for everyone here. Each service includes candlelight, the singing of 'Silent Night,'
and Holy Communion is offered to all.
4pm Courtyard
Creation provides the perfect setting for welcoming our Savior. Come early for cocoa, bring a blanket or chair, and dress for the weather. Children and families can take part in the telling of the nativity story as part of this memorable Christmas Eve worship service.
If weather does not permit worshiping outside, this service will be held in the Sanctuary.
6pm SANCTUARY
Gather on Christmas Eve in the beautifully decorated sanctuary to sing your favorite Christmas hymns, light candles for 'Silent Night,' and hear the greatest story ever told: God's gift of Jesus Christ. This worship features Choir, Bells, strings, harp, and brass.
This service will be livestreamed at ShepHills.org/WATCH
8pm Sanctuary
Celebrate a traditional Lutheran liturgy in the heart of the sanctuary, complete with strings, brass, and harp. With hymns, candlelight, and Holy Communion, this service honors the beauty and reverence of Christmas Eve worship.
10pm courtyard
Join us under the stars! Bring a chair and a cozy blanket, settle in with family and friends, and let the glow of Christmas lights, candlelight, and the sound of 'Silent Night' fill your heart as we celebrate the hope of Christmas together.
If weather does not permit worshiping outside, this service will be held in the Sanctuary.
Our Christmas Offering Designation
Our Christmas Eve offering will go to support our ministry partner Upbring, specifically for the care of children. Upbring is a change-making organization whose mission is to create a world where all children are cherished. 100% of your generosity will go to Upbring's New Life Center in Canyon Lake and BeReal Program in Austin/San Marcos.
