Earth Day Watch Party of The Letter

Caring for the Earth, God’s gift to us, is an important aspect of our faith. It’s time to do our part in breaking the silence surrounding our climate. We hope you’ll join us on Sunday, April 21 at 2:30 in Room 205 for a screening and discussion of the film “The Letter.” The Letter is a film that tells the story of a journey of frontline leaders, both young and old from around the world, who are experiencing the traumatic effects of global warming.  At the invitation from the Pope, they travel to Rome to share their experiences and discuss the encyclical letter ‘Laudato Si’ with Pope Francis. The letter was written in May 2015 to the world to lament environmental degradation and global warming and invites all people of the world to take “swift and unified global action” to heal the environment.
