June Report for Bread for All

Hi partners and friends,

Our pace slowed a touch in June, but it can still be categorized as “busy.” Undoubtedly, our Rent Assistance #4 program brought new neighbors to BFA, as you can see in the “new” rate of almost 31 percent.

We’re very grateful to the donors to RA #4 and we’ve received back a record number of applications – close to 70. Most all of these will receive assistance equivalent or close to their monthly rent, as we were able to surpass our fundraising goal. The total isn’t in yet, but it will be more than $75,000. Big thanks!

Below are the comparable numbers for food pantry distributions last month.

June 2024: (4 distributions)

  • Total households served: 559 (avg. 139.75)
  • Total individuals served: 2,499 (avg. 624.75)
  • New neighbors served: 173 (avg. 43.25)
  • 30.9% of all households served
  • Food donated: 3,069 lbs.
  • Diapers distributed: 3,873

Thanks to our partner churches and neighbors for ample food donations last month. These are greatly needed as there has not been a positive uptick from supplies from the food bank. We’re also supplementing our supplies with direct purchases, thanks to financial donations and Thrivent Action Team cards ($250). If you’re a Thrivent member and would like to do an Action Team event to benefit BFA, let me know. This is a great way to support BFA’s shelves with $250 worth of plant protein – canned beans and peanut butter.

We’re a bit short on diapers – especially the most needed sizes of 4, 5, and 6.

All in all, we continue, with God’s guidance, to meet great needs at BFA almost every Monday.

Thanks to each volunteer, supporter, partner, and donor!
